The TALANTO Website Is Finally Here!

Hi! I’m Riko, the designer behind TALANTO. This project came to life with the help of my flatmate, Keisuke.
He studied graphic design at a university here in London, and at home, we often end up talking about design, craft, and creativity late into the night.

Out of those conversations, the TALANTO website was born. Keisuke interpreted my thoughts on making things — my motivation to keep TALANTO alive — and translated them beautifully into web design.

For someone like me, who usually creates alone, collaborating with someone was both refreshing and reassuring.
It felt like dissecting TALANTO from the inside out — a moment that made me fall in love with my own project all over again.

When designing the site, I wanted it to feel like a visual archive — a sort of illustrated encyclopedia of my past works.
TALANTO is born from small personal moments — it’s almost like a quiet monologue turned into form.

I’ve always loved listening to essays and radio shows where people share their personal stories, and I always have the radio on while I’m creating.
From that creative atmosphere, Keisuke came up with the phrase “Shaped Personal Story.” I think it perfectly captures what TALANTO stands for.

I plan to keep updating this space in a diary-like style — one small story at a time. Stay tuned for more updates!

こんにちは！TALANTOのデザイナー理子です。協力してくれたのは、私のフラットメイトKeisukeです。彼はロンドンの大学でグラフィックデザインを専攻し、よく家でもデザインや物作りについて話すことが多いです。そんな中生まれたTALANTOのWebサイト。私の物作りに対する想いやTALANTOを続けている気持ちを読み取って、Webデザインとしてアウトプットしてくれました。

普段一人きりで作っている私にとって、誰かと一緒に何かを作るという体験は新鮮で心強いものでした。改めてTALANTOの解剖をした気分で、TALANTOを自分でより好きになる時間でした。

Webサイトを作る上で意識したのは、今までの作品の図鑑のようなイメージです。私自身の小さな体験やエピソードから生まれるTALANTOは、独り言のようなプロジェクトです。私もエッセイやラジオなど個人的な話を聞くのが好きで、制作中も必ずラジオを流しています。そのような物作りの姿勢から、"Shaped Personal Story"というキーワードをKeisukeが思いついてくれました。

この日記のようなスタイルで、文章も少しずつ更新していきたいと思います。アップデートをお楽しみに！
